Job Description

We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join our team. As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for welding metal parts together using the MIG welding process. You will work closely with our production team to ensure high-quality products are produced efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Weld metal parts together using the MIG welding process.
  2. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
  3. Prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and degreasing.
  4. Operate welding equipment, including MIG welders, wire feeders, and shielding gas systems.
  5. Monitor welding processes to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  6. Inspect welded joints for defects and imperfections.
  7. Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  8. Collaborate with production team to optimize welding processes and improve efficiency.
  9. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  10. Participate in quality control and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  1. 2+ years of experience as a MIG Welder or in a related welding role.
  2. High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or certification in welding preferred.
  3. Proficiency in MIG welding process and ability to pass a welding test.
  4. Strong understanding of welding safety protocols and guidelines.
  5. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
  6. Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced, industrial environment.
  7. Strong attention to detail and quality focus.
  8. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with production team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. AWS (American Welding Society) certification or equivalent.
  2. Experience with robotic welding or automated welding systems.
  3. Knowledge of welding codes and standards (e.g. ASME, AWS).
  4. Experience with quality control and inspection processes.
